Appco UK and fundraisers visited two of CLIC Sargent’s Homes from Home -– Paul’s House in London and Marion’s House in Glasgow.
Fundraisers representing Appco UK client CLIC Sargent visited two of the charity’s “Homes from Home” recently, allowing them to see how the work they’re doing is benefiting children and young people with cancer, and their families.
CLIC Sargent runs 10 Homes from Home – near principle treatment centres throughout the UK – which give families a free place to stay while their child is in hospital. The Homes from Home help families avoid the extra financial burdens of travel, accommodation and food costs, and allow young cancer patients to be close to their loved ones, keeping families together at a difficult time.
Appco UK was invited, along with several partner marketing companies and fundraisers, to take a look at the CLIC Sargent Homes from Home in London and Glasgow – Paul’s House and Marion’s House
“Visiting the CLIC Sargent Homes from Home was insightful and inspiring,” said Appco UK Client Relationship Manager Isabel Montoya-Perez.
“A number of the fundraisers who help us deliver our campaigns joined us for the visits. They really appreciated having the opportunity to see first hand the amazing work that CLIC Sargent does, and the positive impact that the funds from donors they sign up has on families and young people living with cancer.”
Appco UK has been working with CLIC Sargent for more than three years, helping the charity acquire long-term, regular-giving donors who provide essential on-going funding for their work.
